We’re located in a small village right in the heart of the Beaune, Autun and Chalon-sur-Saône triangle, so it’s easy to get around, with walks through the vineyards, historical visits and gourmet shopping to pick up some great souvenirs of the region (Burgundy wines, of course, but also Fallot mustards, Védrenne blackcurrants, Dijon nonnettes…). It’s worth noting that the city of Dijon is only an hour’s drive from our hotel – a perfect day trip along the famous wine route through the most beautiful wine-producing villages.

A relaxing and tasty holiday to remember
For a weekend of relaxation close to nature, our tiny houses are ideal. These little wooden cocoons are unusual accommodations that are as charming as they are comfortable, providing a real opportunity to unwind and take care of yourself. The icing on the cake? A private Nordic bath on the terrace of each cabin. And so that you can think of nothing but yourself, we also offer gourmet baskets cooked by us using the finest Burgundy produce and delivered directly to your accommodation. Trained at the Institut Paul Bocuse, Alexane takes great pleasure in concocting delicious dishes for her gourmet guests every day, showcasing French cuisine that is both delicious and up to date. It’s the perfect way to spend a romantic meal together. As for wine, Felix has a fine list of local wines to accompany your dinner (you can also discover them by taking part in one of our daily tastings).

Take part in a wine tasting in our vaulted cellars
Even though we love wines from all over France and Navarre, we’re still a bit chauvinistic and have therefore chosen to focus our tastings on the region. Each day, Felix will introduce you to 6 of his favourite estates as he takes you on a wine tour that combines red and white wines. Most are organic or in conversion, and all have been carefully selected to be as close as possible to the Cabottes. Chardonnay whites, Pinot Noir reds, Crémant with its fine bubbles and even rosé for warm summer evenings, Burgundy offers an enological palette that we invite you to discover on an initiatory journey through our 18th-century vaulted cellar.

Reserved for cyclists and pedestrians, the “voie verte”, also known as the “Voie des vignes“, is a former railway line that links Les Cabottes to Santenay and then Beaune, passing through a number of famous wine-producing villages such as Meursault and Pommard. Two pedal strokes and you’re surrounded by vineyards in absolute peace and quiet. You can then make as many stops as you like to discover the most beautiful châteaux in the area: Château de Pommard or Château de Meursault? The green route will take you right up to their gates, so you can taste the wines of these two emblematic Burgundy estates while admiring their splendid architecture. Corton, Montrachet… the finest crus will soon hold no secrets for you!

Nordic spa: a private relaxation area for each tiny house in the heart of Burgundy’s countryside
The benefits of a Nordic bath
To make your stay unforgettable, each cabin has its own private Nordic spa heated to 37°C, perfect for relaxing after a good day’s sightseeing or exploring some of Burgundy’s most beautiful natural sites (such as Les Trois-Croix in Santenay). These spas are available all year round, and they’re as easy to use as they come, because you don’t have to do a thing. We heat them over a wood fire before you arrive, so you can enjoy them as soon as you arrive. The water then stays at the same temperature for the duration of your stay, without you having to do a thing. And pssst… you can even choose the bottle of your choice from our wine list and Félix will bring it to you on a tray, right in your Nordic bath, along with nibbles or an aperitif board featuring a selection of Burgundy charcuterie and cheeses from Beaune-based master maturer Alain Hess.
Well-being massages
While the Nordic baths are currently reserved for guests staying in the tiny houses, the massages are available to all residents of our hotel! Whether you’re staying in our tiny houses, in our gîte or in our guest rooms, Elodie, our certified masseuse, will be delighted to come and pamper you. She offers a wide range of massages, both in duration and type. Note that Elodie can only massage one person at a time, but it is also possible to be massaged as a couple for a lovely romantic moment: in that case, you’ll need to make an appointment with her directly at the salon, which is located in the small town of Sainte-Marie-la-Blanche near Beaune. Trained at the Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon, Alexane prepares delicious dishes every day to delight her guests. Breakfast, picnic, aperitif, dinner: each part of the day has its own special treats, carefully prepared using fresh, local produce.
Wine tasting
Every day, Felix takes you on a wine tour of 6 of his favourite estates, mixing red and white wines. Most of them are organic or in conversion, and all have been carefully selected to be as close as possible to the Cabottes: a short circuit guaranteed!
Electric bike hire
To explore the vineyards and the famous Burgundy Canals, hop on a bike directly at Les Cabottes and take the voie verte for a leisurely pedal through the Burgundy countryside.

Tastings take place every day at 11am in our cellars (weekdays and weekends). Felix gives tastings of 6 wines that change from month to month (Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, Saint-Romain, Saint-Aubin, Rully…). Absolutely, the Nordic baths are heated all year round so you can enjoy them whatever the weather. Come rain, snow or shine, you’ll be able to admire the view over the vineyards from the warmth of the pool. The Nordic baths can accommodate 2 people.

We hire out electric bikes directly from our hotel so you can explore the region. Conveniently, we’re just a few metres from the cycle path! You can contact us at contact@lescabottes.com to reserve your bikes. There are several options for lunch: opt for a picnic basket from Les Cabottes, which you can collect with your bikes, or stop off at a restaurant (L’Ouillette, La Cabane or Le Cellier Volnaysien). You can also stop off to visit Châteaux or estates (the Domaine Mestre in Santenay is directly on the Greenway route). In short, it’s an excellent way to discover one of France’s most beautiful regions! And for the more courageous, the green route even goes as far as Chablis… But that’s for another trip 🙂
Several châteaux on the wine route open their doors to the public: Château de Pommard, Château de Meursault and Château de Chassagne-Montrachet all boast splendid vineyards. You can also pay a visit to the Mestre wine estate, which we love. Our guests benefit from special rates at Château de Pommard – simply specify that you are staying at our hotel when you book your tastings.
We don’t have a restaurant at the moment, but we do offer self-cooked gourmet baskets every evening of the week (book the day before your arrival at the latest). We’ll bring them directly to your accommodation so you can enjoy them in the warmth of your room or outside overlooking the vineyards. If you are staying with us for several nights, we will of course change the menu so that you can try different dishes. We’ll also be happy to recommend a list of restaurants that we really like if you want to dine out. In particular, we are lucky enough to be very close to several Michelin-starred establishments with rave reviews, such as the Lameloise gourmet restaurant in Chagny, which has a superb wine list of the finest estates in the region, particularly in Chablis, or L’Hostellerie de Levernois near Beaune or L’Auberge de la Charme in Presnois near Dijon (2 Michelin stars).

“C’est la troisième fois que je vais aux Cabottes et ce n’est certainement pas la dernière. L’accueil est top comme toujours, les repas et petit-déjeuners copieux et délicieux. La vue des cabottes est tellement agréable et maintenant il y a le jardin aménagé avec vue imprenable sur les vignes. La seule question quand le sejour est fini est “quand est ce que je reviens”.

Amazing place with a spectacular view 🍇. We loved our stay at Les Cabottes. The owners manage it with lots of love and care and you can see this in every detail. We were traveling with a baby and it was ideal to have the dinner and breakfast available as a service. We also loved the cheese platter with good wine. Make sure you walk around in the area. A hidden gem!
