Family activities at Les Cabottes

Family activities at Les Cabottes

Our philosophy? To be able to offer you a total experience that will transform your overnight stay at Les Cabottes into a holiday that will leave some lovely memories behind. That’s why we’ve designed each accommodation as a cocoon filled with softness, ideal for disconnecting. While we often welcome couples looking for a romantic getaway or people coming solo to take some time out, we also have a number of accommodations suitable for families: our gîte and our yellow cabotte are perfect for tribes, each with 2 large double beds. It’s also possible to add a cot for the little ones, particularly in our blue cabotte or our character rooms. So what can you do when you come to Les Cabottes as a family? Well, lots of things:

Indoor activities

Books, games and vinyl just about everywhere

For some quiet time before bed, or to keep the family occupied when it’s raining, we’ve put board games in all our accommodation, as well as books and vinyl records to introduce the youngest guests to the Spotify of yesteryear.

A wellness massage

Our professional masseuse, Elodie, comes directly to Les Cabottes to take care of you, and offers special massages for children, among other things. A gentle, soothing way to help them relax and integrate their body shape. From 3 years to 15 years.

A colouring table in the cellar

As you may know, we offera daily tasting of Burgundy wines in our cellar. So no, we wouldn’t say it’s a kidfriendly activity 😉 what it is, however, is the colour table in the cellar so that you, the adults, can taste without your little ones getting bored.

Good food

Alexane cooks every day to offer menus adapted to children (up to the age of 12) with small portions and comforting tastes to win over even the most demanding of palates. Small gourmet basket at €15.

Outdoor activities

unusual: the private Nordic bath in each tiny house in burgundy

A Nordic bath for safe paddling

If you opt for our yellow cabotte during your family holiday, the Nordic bath on your terrace should make you very happy. Heated to 37°C, its small size makes it ideal for children to play in safety (supervision is of course still required).

A meadow for frolicking and donkeys to cuddle

Adjacent to our accommodation, we make our 6,000m2 meadow available to our guests so that children can let off steam and parents can relax on a bench overlooking the vines. A short visit to Rosalie and Ferdinand, our two miniature donkeys, should quickly become a must during your stay.

Rosie and Ferdi

Cycling through the vineyards

Just a few metres from Les Cabottes is the voie verte, a former railway line converted into a safe cycle path. There are several options for cycling with your children, depending on their age: baby seats, trailers or children’s bikes. You can also hire a bike directly from us at Les Cabottes– it’s so practical!

An open-air escape game combining a walk and a game

We’ve come up with a city game that starts at Les Cabottes and winds its way through the village, offering the whole family the chance to make some interesting discoveries. It’s a great way to combine business with pleasure, learning new things and stretching your legs at the same time.

the course

The little bonus

And pssst, our pretty village of Change has built play equipment for the village children . They are just a few metres from our estate and are, of course, accessible to our little guests for the duration of their stay.

The beautiful collaboration

We know our little village like the back of our hand, and they have the imagination to create a unique scenario for you to discover: we worked hand in hand with Angélique and Jean-Baptiste to create a route through Change, taking in the must-see places, secret corners and splendid views over the vineyards. This unusual city game combines a stroll with a game to involve young and old alike in the adventure, and makes a lovely loop that leaves from and returns to Les Cabottes – how practical!

A well-executed script

Curious about this city game? Here’s a sneak preview of the story brilliantly imagined by the duo behind “Un pays un drapeau”:

Legend has it that the village of Change has been protected since the Middle Ages.
Indeed, a man of the cloth called Alix le Bon lived here, more precisely in the presbytery located at number 7 in what is now the rue Collot.
This man was never without his favourite object: a sceptre.
He would wander the village streets always accompanied by his most faithful companion: a cockerel.
Since Alix’s arrival in the presbytery, the village had lived peacefully.
When he died, the cockerel and the sceptre disappeared, never to be seen again.
Over the centuries, Change still seems as protected as it once was thanks to Alix.
Legend has it that the sceptre is the reason for this. However, none of the inhabitants have been able to find it.
Is the sceptre of Alix the Good still in the village?

It’s up to you!
