Our different types of accommodation for an unusual naturebreak , a relaxing break or a stopover on the way to your holiday destination.

What we like about Les Cabottes is that we don’t try to fit into any boxes. We’d love to be among the best hotels in Burgundy, of course, but that doesn’t mean we’re looking for just one label. Hotel, boutique-hotel, guest house… It’s up to you to define us. Because what we want is to create a place where life is good, a place where you’ll enjoy (re)coming, to create the best memories for yourself, your loved ones, your friends or your family. With us, you won’t find impersonal room numbers, but accommodation that’s all unique. You can choose between theunusual wooden tiny houses or the authentic charm of old stone, terracotta floor tiles and beams in our gîte and the characterful rooms in our guest house. There’s no swimming pool, jacuzzi or sauna either, but Nordic spas that smell of wood and warm hearts in every season, private to each tiny house. And in any case, don’t be jealous: all our accommodation has a splendid view over the Hautes Côtes de Beaune vineyards, and our discreet staff are on hand to help you with anything you may want (drinks and aperitifs can be ordered until 8pm). The luxury of being served directly in the Nordic spa.

Nordic spa, gourmet baskets and wine tasting : a tailor-made programme to create a holiday to suit your tastes.

At Les Cabottes, there’s only one watchword: disconnect. We take care of you from morning to night, so you can adopt a slow life from the moment you arrive. The bells punctuate your day, and the end of the day and the setting sun are synonymous with an aperitif in our meadow before moving on to dinner, which is served wherever you like. Need to relax? With the attentive staff, the Nordic spa heated to 37°C (similar to a wooden Jacuzzi) and Elodie’s wellness massages, you’ll leave our hotel with your batteries recharged and your mind recharged. For prices and details of Elodie’s treatments, click here. And to finish on a high note, you can also take part in a wine tasting in our vaulted cellars after your checkout.

An escape to the heart of Burgundy to explore every corner of the region

The ideal location of our hotel, close to Beaune and Meursault

We’re located in the centre of our own little golden triangle: Beaune / Autun / Châlon-sur-Saône. So it’s easy to get around Les Cabottes and discover Burgundy’s beautiful treasures: the vineyards, of course, but also the canals with their charming locks, the châteaux (Couches is just 15 minutes away) and the famous villages of Meursault, Pommard and Santenay, not forgetting the Morvan Regional Park, which looks like a little Canada. In these villages, you’ll find some great shops if you want to do some shopping and bring back some local produce in your luggage. With so many hotels dotting the roads of Burgundy, our establishment is ideally placed, at the crossroads of all these beautiful nuggets.

Discover Burgundy by electric bike along the famous Route des Grands Crus

Are you on the move and looking for nomadic adventures to satisfy your wanderlust? Leave the car at the car park and opt for the slow life right to the end of the pedal: we offer an electric bike hire service directly at Les Cabottes. You can join the “voie verte“, an old railway line that winds through the vineyards, to take time to admire the beauty of the landscapes that change with the seasons, stop off at wineries to taste the wines for which our beautiful region is famous, or simply to push the pedal aimlessly, with your nose to the wind. So grab the handlebars, armed with the map we’ve provided, and set off exploring – between vineyards and canals, the scenery flashes before your eyes, changing as you go… Magical! And to recover from this more or less sporting effort (depending on the level of assistance you programme on your beautiful mount), the Nordic spa awaiting you on the terrace of your tiny house will be perfect for relaxing in total tranquillity.

Prices and details of our bike hire offer are available right here.

Amazing place with a spectacular view 🍇. We loved our stay at Les Cabottes. The owners manage it with lots of love and care and you can see this in every detail. We were traveling with a baby and it was ideal to have the dinner and breakfast available as a service. We also loved the cheese platter with good wine. Make sure you walk around in the area. A hidden gem!

Any questions? The answers may lie here:

How does a Burgundy wine tasting at Les Cabottes work?

Tastings take place every day at 11am in our cellars (weekdays and weekends). Felix gives tastings of 6 different wines that change from month to month (Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, Saint-Romain, Saint-Aubin, Rully…). To reserve your place, all you have to do is send us a message to contact@lescabottes.com. We look forward to your visit 🙂

Are the hotel’s Nordic baths accessible all year round?

Absolutely, the Nordic baths are heated all year round so you can enjoy them whatever the weather. Come rain, snow or shine, you’ll be able to admire the view over the vineyards from the warmth of the pool. The Nordic baths can accommodate 2 people.

Does your hotel have a swimming pool?

Not (yet) but private Nordic spas for each of our tiny houses. In order to offer similar services for all our accommodation, we’re currently thinking about adding some for the character rooms and the gîte, so we’ll keep you posted…

Are tiny houses heated?

Every cabin is heated. They all have electric heating and are very well insulated, which means that the temperature inside remains more than pleasant even in the depths of winter. Of course, this doesn’t mean you can’t open the windows to air out the space and avoid having a hammam every time you take a shower – or a sauna, as the case may be 🙂

How do I schedule a well-being massage with our masseuse Elodie?

You can contact her directly by email (elodierigaud.massagebienetre@gmail.com) or by text message on 06 26 64 20 55. Depending on the room you have booked, Elodie will give you a massage either in your accommodation or in our massage room, which is heated in winter to ensure optimum comfort and relaxation. Elodie offers a wide range of massages, so don’t hesitate to find out more by clicking here, or to read the unanimous reviews of her services.

Where can you hire electric bikes to discover the region?

We hire out electric bikes directly from our hotel so you can explore the region. Conveniently, we’re just a few metres from the cycle path! You can contact us at contact@lescabottes.com to secure your bikes. There are several options for lunch: opt for a picnic basket from Les Cabottes, which you can collect with your bikes, or stop off at a restaurant (L’Ouillette, La Cabane or Le Cellier Volnaysien). You can also stop off to visit the Châteaux or estates. In short, it’s an excellent way to discover one of France’s most beautiful regions! And for the more courageous, the voie verte even goes as far as Chablis… But that’s for another trip 🙂

Between Dijon and Santenay, which estate should you choose for a wine tasting?

Several châteaux are open to the public: Pommard, Meursault and Chassagne-Montrachet have splendid vineyards. You can also pay a visit to the Mestre wine estate, which we love. Note that our guests benefit from special rates at Château de Pommard – simply specify that you are staying at our hotel when you book your tastings.

Does the hotel have a restaurant?

Not at the moment, but we offer self-cooked gourmet baskets every evening of the week (to be booked the day before your arrival at the latest). We bring them directly to your accommodation so that you can enjoy them in the warmth of your room or outside overlooking the vineyards. If you are staying with us for several nights, we will of course change the menu so that you can try different dishes. We’ll also be happy to recommend a list of restaurants that we really like if you want to dine out. In particular, we’re lucky enough to be very close to several Michelin-starred establishments with rave reviews, such as the fine Lameloise restaurant in Chagny, which has a superb menu of the region’s finest wine estates, or L’Hostellerie de Levernois near Beaune or L’Auberge de la Charme in Presnois near Dijon (2 Michelin stars).

Do you do takeaways?

For lunches on the move among the vines, we offer picnic baskets to take away, with little things to nibble on: Morvan terrine, sausage, Comté cheese, gougères, crudités, cookies, fruit…
We also have a small shop where you can buy pretty Burgundy products to take home. Pssst: you’ll find bottles from our wine list at wine shop prices, as well as our famous spread, which is a big hit in our breakfast baskets, which have nothing to envy the finest hotel buffets… A 10/10 score every time you try it in our breakfasts, it’s true!

Does the hotel have a bar?

There is no dedicated space yet, but the bar will come to you 🙂 You’ll find a drinks menu in each accommodation. Cocktails, wines, beers, soft drinks… Just text us your order and it will arrive on a tray directly in your cocoon. Our aim is to offer a quality service that is present but discreet: our staff are at your disposal throughout your stay at Les Cabottes to guarantee our overnight guests a moment of pure pleasure.

What is the nearest town to Les Cabottes?

We are located between the small villages of Santenay and Nolay, which have all the shops you need. The town of Beaune is just half an hour from our hotel, as is the town of Chalon-sur-Saône. Here you’ll find plenty of good shops, particularly for buying fine Burgundy produce.

What activities are available near Les Cabottes?

Hiking, electric bike rides, wine tasting, mushroom picking in the forest or fruit picking in our orchard, discovering the vine (“What is a vine? What’s the difference between Chardonnay and Aligoté?”) historical and/or cultural visits… Depending on your interests, the options are numerous. As soon as the dates of your Burgundy tour have been set, you can come back to us to put together a great programme together. If your dates are not yet clearly fixed, we can also advise you on the best time to discover the region according to your wishes. If it helps, you can view the availability of our accommodation via the booking module.
