3 independent guest rooms with private bathrooms – 2 travellers per room

Right in the centre of Burgundy, our character guest rooms welcome you for a relaxing stay.

You’ll be staying in the former presbytery of Change, one of the oldest houses in the village. Burgundy ceilings, terracotta floor tiles, exposed stone walls: the parish priest and the nuns who once worked within these walls have left us a beautiful legacy. Incidentally, the street where our guest house is located is called rue de la Soupe, as the nuns used to provide meals in this house. Today, our little rue de la Soupe has become a quiet cul-de-sac, but this history is still very much alive and important in understanding the unique atmosphere of the place.

La Maison du curé now has three newly renovated bedrooms, offering charming, spacious accommodation (the original roof timbers are splendid) with all modern comforts and the finest finishings. We’ve preserved the identity of this old building full of potential while adding that little extra touch of modernity that makes all the difference.

As the three double rooms are independent, they can be rented together or separately, as you wish.

A guest house that can be adapted to suit the needs of each guest

We have designed this large building as a house with drawers; the rooms all have independent access and can therefore be rented separately for a couple or a small family. For family reunions, friendships or business meetings, all the rooms can be rented together to accommodate groups of up to 6 people. We can then adapt the communal areas to suit your wishes and needs. Yoga room or meeting room, massage corner or Burgundy crafts workshop (soaps, ceramics, barrels…): the choice is yours.

Charm, tasteful decor and top-of-the-range facilities: stay in our guest house on your next holiday.

We designed the layout of our 3 guest rooms with the aim of creating real little cocoons with a warm, refined atmosphere. In terms of decoration, pastel colours and the gentle sound of vinyl records add a cosy touch. Outside, the view over the vineyards, the tinkling of the bells and the crowing of the rooster all contribute to the relaxing setting, allowing you to unwind during this life-saving Burgundy break. Whether on your own, as a couple, with friends or with your family, the advantage of our guest house is that it can be adapted to suit any situation. We can serve you all your meals in your room, if you want to work and stay focused, for example. We can also make the ground floor room available to you so that you can have your meals together and thus have a shared space if you book several rooms.

OPTIONAL SERVICES

An eco-responsible renovation to modernise the building while preserving its original character and charm

Our craftsmen have worked hard to preserve and enhance all the assets of the house: beams, stone walls, terracotta floors… Far from wanting to erase the special features of the place that made us fall in love with it on our first visit, we have done everything possible to carry out a renovation that respects both the old building and the environment. In keeping with the eco-responsible philosophy that guides us in the Les Cabottes project, we have chosen with great care the materials, furniture and craftsmen with whom we have worked to offer you rooms with character that touch the heart. Local products, materials sourced as close as possible to Les Cabottes and judicious energy choices to offer our guests optimum comfort in every season: the challenge of an aesthetic AND energy-efficient renovation is at the heart of our concerns.

Between Beaune, Autun and Chalon-sur-Saône: an ideal location for discovering Burgundy

Located right in the centre of the region, our guest rooms are the perfect base from which to explore southern Burgundy, the vineyards and the Morvan regional nature park, which is full of beautiful treasures. Right next to the famous Route des Grands Crus, you can reach the most beautiful villages in the area in just a few minutes, including Pommard and its famous château, Meursault, Santenay, Saint-Romain and, of course, Beaune, the wine capital with its Hospices, a must-see. If you’re looking for ideas for activities, walks and other visits to discover Burgundy, you should find what you’re looking for in our dedicated selection.

Do you have any questions about our guest rooms? You may find the answer here:

Is access to nearby towns and villages easy?

We’re right in the centre of the Beaune / Autun / Chalon-sur-saône triangle. Our location is ideal for discovering these towns, as well as the villages for which Burgundy is famous, such as Pommard, Meursault, Saint-Romain, Chassagne-Montrachet and Santenay. For a day out, Dijon is only an hour away, and is a great way to explore the Route des Grands Crus.

Are the domain’s various accommodation options nearby?

All are just a few metres from each other. If you’re in a group and want to rent different accommodations, you’ll be able to find each other easily before returning to your respective homes to spend the night.

Is there an exterior?

Some of our rooms have a private terrace. Our large garden is also just a few metres away and is accessible to all our guests. You can dine in front of the sunset or relax on a deckchair in the afternoon. Our garden is also home to two miniature donkeys who will be delighted to receive your visit.

Is there a swimming pool on site?

At the moment, only our tiny houses have a private Nordic bath. We’re currently thinking about building a natural swimming pool in the large garden, along with a Nordic bath and sauna that would be accessible to all our guests. To be continued.

What are the rates for a night in one of the guest rooms?

Our prices may vary according to the season. To find out the rates for each accommodation, please consult our availability schedule by clicking here. You can also use this link to book your stay at Les Cabottes and see details of all our little nests, the options included in the price, etc.

Are pets allowed?

If you’d like to stay with us with a furry friend, our gîte La Fermette is perfect for you. This is the only accommodation on the estate where pets are allowed, as it has several private outdoor areas.

Amazing place with a spectacular view 🍇. We loved our stay at Les Cabottes. The owners manage it with lots of love and care and you can see this in every detail. We were traveling with a baby and it was ideal to have the dinner and breakfast available as a service. We also loved the cheese platter with good wine. Make sure you walk around in the area. A hidden gem!
